Brake System Indicator Circuit Troubleshooting

Do the gauge assembly self-diagnosis function.

Is gauge assembly OK?

YES - Go to Read the ABS DTC, and do the applicable troubleshooting for the DTC.n

NO - Go to 5.

5.	Turn the ignition switch OFF.

6.	Disconnect the VSA control unit 46P connector.

7.	Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and check the brake system indicator. Does the brake system indicator go off? YES - Replace the VSA modulator-control unit.n NO - Go to 8.

8.	Turn the ignition switch OFF.

Remove the gauge assembly.

10.	Disconnect gauge assembly connector C (40P).

11.

Check for continuity between the VSA control unit 46P connector terminal No. 16 and body ground.

Is there continuity?

YES - Repair short to body ground in the wire between the gauge control module and the VSA modulator-control unit.n
