| |
| |
| 1. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
|
| 2. | Do the DTC CLEAR in the CLEAR MENU with the HDS.
|
| 3. | Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm (min-1) with no load (in neutral) for 5 seconds.
|
| 4. | Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.
Is DTC P0351, P0352, P0353 P0354 P0355, P0356, P0357 and/or P0358 indicated?
YES - Go to Connect the ECM test harness and the test pin box to the wire harness only, not to the ECM.

| 9. | Check for continuity between body ground and test pin box terminal (see table).

Is there continuity?
YES - Repair short in the wire between the ECM connector terminal and the ignition coil, then go to Do the ETCS learn procedure.

| 18. | Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm (min-1) with no load (in neutral) for 5 seconds.
|
| 19. | Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.
Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated?
YES - If DTC P0351, P0352, P0353, P0354, P0355, P0356, P0357 and/or P0358 is indicated, check for poor connections or loose terminals at the ignition coil and the ECM, then go to Substitute a known-good ECM.

| 21. | Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm (min-1) with no load (in neutral) for 5 seconds.

| 22. | Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.
Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated?
YES - If DTC P0351, P0352, P0353, P0354, P0355, P0356, P0357 and/or P0358 is indicated, check for poor connections or loose terminals at the ignition coil and the ECM, then go to Replace the original ECM.n |
