DTC Troubleshooting: P0403 (12)
| DTC P0403: | EGR Valve Circuit Malfunction |
| 1. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II). |
| 2. | Do the DTC CLEAR in the CLEAR MENU with the HDS. |
| 3. | Start the engine. |
| 4. | Check fot Temporary DTCs or DTCs in the DTCs MENU with the HDS. Is DTC P0403 indicated? YES - Go to to the ECM. |
| 9. | Check for continuity between test pin box terminal No. 124 and body ground. Is there continuity? YES - Go to Do the ETCS learn procedure. |
| 19. | Start the engine. |
| 20. | Check for temporary DTCs or DTCs in the DTCs MENU with the HDS. Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated? YES - If DTC P0403 is indicated, check for poor connections or loose terminals at the EGR vlave and the ECM, then go to Substitute a known-good ECM. |
| 22. | Start the engine. |
| 23. | Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs in the DTCs MENU with the HDS. Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated? YES - If DTC P0403 is indicated, check for poor connections or loose terminals at the EGR vlave and the ECM, then go to Replace the original ECM.n |
