DTC Troubleshooting: P1886 (35-1)

DTC P1886: Problem in CVT Driven Pulley Speed Sensor Circuit


NOTE: Record all freeze data before you troubleshoot.
1.Check whether the DTC for manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor is indicated.

Is the DTC for MAP sensor indicated?


YES - Perform the MAP sensor troubleshooting, and recheck for DTC P1886 after troubleshooting.


NO - Go to Update the PCM if it does not have the latest software, or subsutitute a known-good PCM, then recheck. If the symptom/ indication goes away with a known-good PCM, replace the original PCM.n


NO - Replace the CVT driven pulley speed sensor.n

20.Measure the voltage between PCM connector terminals A21 and A23 or A24. Update the PCM if it does not have the latest software, or subsutitute a known-good PCM, then recheck. If the symptom/ indication goes away with a known-good PCM, replace the original PCM.n

25.Measure the voltage between PCM connector terminals C15 and A23 or A24. Update the PCM if it does not have the latest software, or subsutitute a known-good PCM, then recheck. If the symptom/ indication goes away with a known-good PCM, replace the original PCM.n
