Q.is a bad top module common?

I already checked/done: checked switches and motors, also rt.window inop, good sw. and motor

More Info required So the top will not move at all? You mean the control unit?

Addition Yes top does not work at all, and yes control unit. Was told pass. Window and top stopped working at the same time.

More Info required Ok, the emergency brake is pulled up when trying to put the top down, correct?

Addition yes.

More Info required Ok, the easiest way to troubleshoot this is with a control unit input test. Do you have a volt meter?

Addition yes I do.

Answer Ok, here is the input test, please let me know if you have questions.
Reconnect the connectors to the control unit, and do these input tests at the following connectors.
If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
If all the input tests prove OK, the control unit must be faulty; go to step 5.
